Money & Me — Week 1
God Takes Care of Us
Read Together
"I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread." — Psalm 37:25 (ESV)
Talk About It
David wrote this psalm as an old man looking back on his whole life. He had been through wars, running from enemies, losing people he loved — and through all of it, God never once left him.
Ask your kids:
- Can you think of a time when you were worried about something and God took care of it?
- What does it mean that God never leaves us, even when things are hard?
- Why do you think it's hard sometimes to trust God instead of worrying?
Family Activity: The Provision Jar
Get a jar or container and set it somewhere everyone can see it — kitchen counter, dinner table. This week, every time someone notices God providing for your family — a need met, an unexpected blessing, a bill that worked out, a kind word from someone — write it on a slip of paper and drop it in the jar. Read them all together over the weekend.
Pray Together
God, thank You that You always take care of our family. Help us trust You when things feel scary or uncertain, and help us notice all the ways You show up for us every single day. Amen.
